Inventory Support Clerk - Monday - Friday

12:00pm - 8:30pm

$20/hr

MSC is growing—and going—strong. We seek a team player who thrives in a fast-moving warehouse environment to support inventory accuracy, maintain merchandise records, and assist with daily warehouse operations.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

You will have a hands-on role in our warehouse helping ensure inventory is accurate, organized, and available to support customer needs.

  • Compile, verify, and maintain records of the quantity and type of merchandise stocked in the warehouse.
  • Verify products using item numbers, descriptions, and quantities.
  • Count items and perform cycle counts of warehouse bins as required.
  • Sort and match departmental reports.
  • Create and update departmental reports through data entry.
  • Inspect products for damage and identify items using visual inspections, reference manuals, or measuring instruments.
  • Operate basic warehouse vehicles, including electric pallet jacks and/or forklifts.
  • Operate advanced warehouse vehicles, including turret trucks and/or order pickers.
  • Instruct induction associates on modifying packing slips (mod) or updating the system to reflect a zero inventory count (mod-zero).
  • Follow all safety guidelines, established SOPs, and participate in the Work Clean program.
  • Support the local Safety Culture by participating on safety teams, providing safety suggestions, and helping identify and mitigate risks.
  • Meet specified productivity and quality expectations.
  • Assist with other warehouse functions when temporarily reassigned to meet customer service requirements.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
  • Foster the MSC Culture throughout the department and company.

WHAT IT TAKES

The motivated individual we seek should have these qualifications.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to accurately count and verify inventory
  • Ability to use visual inspections, reference materials, and measuring instruments to identify products
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet customer needs
  • Ability to obtain internal certification to operate warehouse vehicles within specified time requirements
  • Physical ability to successfully perform essential job functions, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting materials up to 75 pounds individually or as a team, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, repeated bending, reaching high and low, and repetitive twisting or pressure involving the wrists and hands
  • Ability to hear, see including depth perception and peripheral vision, maintain mental coordination and remain mentally alert throughout the shift
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
  • Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet

Compensation starting at $20/hr depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
