Stockhandling Supervisor - 3rd Shift - Sunday - Thursday
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises department workflow to ensure optimum service levels are maintained.
- Performs spot checks to ensure associates follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and counts remaining workload for shift change purposes.
- Conducts weekly meetings to foster communication and discuss improvement opportunities.
- Monitors and reports on associate productivity on a weekly and month-end basis.
- Moves completed skid from receiving from staging area or receiving, if necessary to different DC levels and completed carts to “mezzanine one” to ensure optimum workflow.
- Checks equipment to ensure it is in good working condition for the next shift.
- Documents attendance, submits payroll information and conducts performance reviews for associates.
- Trains associates on departmental procedures and monitors their progress.
- Delegates to/through work team coach to ensure smooth process flow.
- Measures discrepancies based on stock received from Receiving department. Reports results to management on a weekly basis.
- Acts as a troubleshooter in resolving stock discrepancies and bin problems.
- Promotes safe work practices.
- Operates basic and advanced warehouse vehicles.
- Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC supervisor as defined in the MSC code of conduct including hiring, termination, review and development of associates.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.
- To meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or the equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years job-related experience required.
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of AS/400 system required.
- Knowledge of tools required.
- Knowledge of general warehouse processes and procedures required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must obtain MSC license to drive distribution center vehicles within specified time requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required.
- Lifting items between 25 and 50 pounds required.
- Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet required.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time required.
Compensation starting at $50,260 -$73,730 depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
