BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr IT Manager, Supply Chain Systems leads technology solution delivery for the MSC Customer Fulfillment Centers and warehouses. Collaborates with the supply chain leaders and IT leaders to implement a digital transformation roadmap. Manages IT project teams and oversees software vendor relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the assessment, selection, and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to support MSC's distribution network.
- Manage all technical aspects of WMS/TMS projects, including requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, system integration, and deployment.
- Supervise and mentor a team of IT Business Analysts, Developers, and Integration Engineers.
- Oversee system performance and ensure high availability to support daily operations in multiple distribution centers.
- Provide technical support to end users across various locations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define system requirements and success metrics.
- Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and ensure compliance with IT governance and security standards.
- Drive process optimization and automation initiatives within warehouse and transportation workflows.
- Ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Oversee system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements related to supply chain technologies.
- Develop and manage budgets for supply chain IT projects and operations.
- Manage IT resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of seven years of related IT experience, with at least three years in supply chain or logistics systems.
- Proven experience implementing and supporting WMS and TMS platforms or large complex Cloud Applications.
- Experience managing cross-functional IT teams.
- Minimum of five years' experience integrating various WMS, WCS, WES, or TMS software with ERP platforms (e.g., AS400, SAP, Blue Yonder/JDA, Fortna, or Autostore) required.
- Minimum of five years' experience warehouse controls or automation systems, WCS, WES, ASRS, or AMRs
- Project management, Change Management Continual Improvement experience required.
- Strong understanding of warehousing and robotics technologies demonstrate clear ability of using software and to drive warehouse operations efficiencies.
- Strong leadership, management, strategic planning, and team-building skills.
- Ability to deliver presentations to department and executive leadership.
- Ability to design and implement complex system solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of software applications development methodology.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

- Master's degree preferred.

- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Position requires 25 - 50% of travel
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)
Compensation starting at $122,220 – $226,980depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
