BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Director of Supply Chain Systems Engineering is a visionary leader responsible for architecting and deploying integrated supply chain technologies that elevate operational performance, accelerate digital transformation, and optimize cost structures. This role drives the strategic roadmap for systems engineering across the enterprise, ensuring that platforms and tools are scalable, resilient, and aligned with long-term business objectives. By leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and cloud-based solutions, the Sr. Director enables seamless end-to-end supply chain visibility and agility.
In this cross-functional leadership position, the Sr. Director oversees complex technology initiatives that span logistics, planning, and finance, ensuring that systems architecture supports both tactical execution and strategic growth. The role collaborates closely with IT, operations, and executive stakeholders to harmonize digital infrastructure with evolving market demands, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Success in this role hinges on a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, enterprise systems integration, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategic design and implementation of integrated supply chain systems to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and digital maturity.
- Facilitate strategic dialogues to identify customer pain points, formulate impactful strategies, and architect superior solutions leveraging unique technologies.
- Architect best-in-class, scalable solutions by leveraging technologies and industry best practices, ensuring modernization of the customers technology portfolio, minimizing tech debt and ensure client needs are met with innovative, high-impact designs
- Oversee cross-functional technology initiatives that span logistics, planning, and finance, ensuring seamless collaboration and system interoperability.
- Align systems architecture with enterprise goals, translating business strategies into robust, future-ready technology solutions.
- Drive digital transformation efforts by leveraging automation, advanced analytics, and cloud-based platforms to modernize supply chain operations.
- Champion cost optimization and process improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce system-related overhead.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and IT teams to ensure technology investments support long-term growth, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Define and execute the roadmap for supply chain technology systems (WMS, TMS, ERP, Labor Management, forecasting and planning tools).
- Lead cross-functional teams in system integration, automation, and analytics initiatives.
- Oversee implementation of platforms like SAP, Blue Yonder, and OneStream to support end-to-end visibility and decision-making.
- Champion data governance and system scalability across global operations.
- Identify operational issues/risks and make informed decisions.
- Lead and deliver complex programs/projects within time and budgetary constraints.
- Drive continuous improvement through process digitization, KPI automation, and predictive analytics.
- Partner with finance and operations to optimize cost modeling and freight allocation.
- Collaborate with IT, finance, and supply chain leaders to align systems with enterprise strategy.
- Direct and execute program plans to ensure successful completion and maximum realization of the benefits by coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
- Lead or support the rollout of new supply chain technology functionalities, working closely with project managers, business analysts, and technical teams.
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external technology vendors and solution providers to support supply chain initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze system KPIs, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance reliability, scalability, and performance across supply chain operations.
- Lead organizational change initiatives, driving adoption of new technologies and processes within supply chain teams.
- Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSCs vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain systems leadership, with proven success in enterprise -scale implementation
- Deep expertise in designing and integrating complex supply chain platforms across logistics, planning, and finance functions.
- Ability to translate business goals into scalable technology solutions that drive efficiency and growth.
- Skilled in leading diverse teams and managing stakeholder relationships across IT, operations, and executive leadership.
- Proficient in deploying advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud-based tools to modernize supply chain operations.
- Strong capability to assess system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven improvements.
- Experienced in navigating organizational change, ensuring compliance, and establishing governance frameworks for system implementations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software is required.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Deep understanding of how supply chain performance impacts broader business goals and customer value.

- A valid drivers license may be required.
- Position requires up to 30% of travel
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (ITAR) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
Compensation starting at $150080 - $235840 depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidates relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
