BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Customer Solutions Implementation, serves as a key strategic leader driving MSCs enterprise deployment of advanced inventory management solutions including Vending, Crib Management, VMI, CMI, and Consignment. Leading a team of over 225 implementation professionals, this role oversees a $100M+ pipeline and is responsible for converting customer needs into scalable, high-impact solutions that accelerate growth, enhance profitability, and strengthen MSCs market position.

Combining visionary leadership with disciplined execution, the Senior Director ensures implementation strategies are tightly aligned with enterprise objectives. Through deep expertise in project management, data architecture, and systems integration, this role delivers measurable financial outcomes and consistently elevates the customer experience. This role demands a dynamic blend of strategic oversight, operational expertise, and collaborative leadership to ensure that customer solutions are implemented efficiently and deliver measurable value to clients and stakeholders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the enterprise-wide strategy for managed inventory implementation, ensuring alignment with MSCs growth, digital transformation, and customer experience goals.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive customer solutions implementation strategy aligned with the organizations mission, values, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities, define implementation priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of critical customer solution programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Establish robust processes for tracking progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Work in partnership with sales, product, and engineering teams to design, customize, and optimize customer solutions that address unique business challenges.
  • Ensure that implementation plans are scalable, adaptable, and aligned with client needs.
  • Champion change management efforts, guiding clients and internal teams through organizational transitions associated with solution implementation.
  • Anticipate barriers to adoption and proactively address concerns to ensure seamless integration and sustained success.
  • Identify potential risks and devise robust mitigation strategies that safeguard project delivery and protect the organizations reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of implementation professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, translating implementation capabilities into business impact.
  • Oversee complex, multi-phase implementation projects using structured methodologies to ensure consistent, on-time, and on-budget delivery.
  • Drive accountability for project execution, maintaining oversight of roadmaps, timelines, and milestone tracking.
  • Ensure sustainable workloads and effective deployment of project management staff by building planning tools and establishing standardized forecasting models.
  • Leverage AI tools and predictive analytics to enhance schedule modeling, identify project risks, and improve decision-making.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement practices to elevate team performance and product delivery.
  • Act as executive sponsor for key initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop scalable frameworks, governance models, and playbooks to drive operational consistency and excellence.
  • Establish and monitor financial KPIs, including ROI, inventory cost reduction, and working capital improvement.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Commercial teams to ensure each implementation contributes to margin growth and strategic objectives.
  • Use data analytics to forecast outcomes, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Partner with IT and Data Governance to ensure system readiness, data integrity, and compliance.
  • Lead change-management efforts to ensure organizational readiness and adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Champion innovation and agility across the implementation organization to stay ahead of evolving customer and market needs.
  • Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSCs vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

What You Need:

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field or the equivalent experience required.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, including 4+ years in senior leadership roles required.
  • Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional implementation programs with measurable strategic and financial outcomes required.
  • Deep understanding of managed inventory models and supply chain systems required.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to link operational initiatives to enterprise profitability required.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills required.
  • Ability to define and execute enterprise-level strategies that drive growth, transformation, and customer value required.
  • Expertise in managing complex, multi-phase implementations using structured methodologies required.
  • Skilled in leveraging analytics, dashboards, and KPIs to guide performance and optimization required.
  • Strong understanding of cost-benefit modeling, ROI analysis, and margin improvement strategies required.
  • Proven ability to align diverse teams and stakeholders around shared goals required.
  • Experience leading organizational change through structured communication, training, and adoption plans required.
  • Track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams with a focus on long-term capability growth required
  • Committed to delivering high-impact solutions that meet evolving customer needs required.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • (Masters or MBA preferred).
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, and analytics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Power BI) preferred.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or equivalent) preferred

  • A valid drivers license may be required.
  • Position requires up to 30% of travel
  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (ITAR) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

Compensation starting at $150080 - $235840 depending on experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidates relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
