BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for receiving and shipping inventory, picking/pulling orders from stock, and maintaining accuracy and organization of inventory in the warehouse.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates basic warehouse vehicles (company truck + forklift).
- Verifies products using item numbers, descriptions, and quantity.
- Utilizes the inventory management software to maintain accuracy, bin locations, and fulfill orders in a timely manner.
- Maintaining organization of warehouse bins.
- Cycle counts bins as required.
- Shipping out returns.
- Alerts supervisor regarding items that look out of place.
- Performs to specified productivity and quality expectations.
- Performs all duties within safety guidelines.
- Assists department supervisors in identifying risk to associates or the business and mitigate those risks.
- Validates Inventory Reports (i.e. adjustment reports, packslip modifications, and bin discrepancies).
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.
- Loads, unloads, moves product by hand or skid.
- Visually inspects boxes and product for damage or improper packaging.
- Puts away product into bins, overstock or racks.
- Removal of trash from day-to-day operations.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school education.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, preferably in the aerospace or related industry, is highly desirable.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Basic math skills for counting of inventory and fulfillment of customer orders.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional time management skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting, standing, walking, lifting materials (maximum 75 pounds – individual or team lift), carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, climbing using legs and arms, balancing, stooping, kneeling, repeated bends, reaching high and low, and repetitive twisting or pressure, involving wrist and hands. Hearing, seeing (including depth perception and peripheral vision), ability of mental coordination. Mentally alert for entire shift.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- May be required to work overtime to meet customer's needs.
Compensation starting at $17.00/hour depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
