BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

To ensure the accuracy of all outgoing orders for both our internal and external customers with regard to product, paperwork, and packaging prior to shipment

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 - Preforms visual verification to ensure parts and quantity are correct
 - Appropriately addresses any packaging requirements / flow down
 - Ensures appropriate shipping package is used
 - Prepares all 3rd party (UPS, FedEx, LTL) packages for shipment
 - Prepares all bulk packing for intercompany transfer and deliveries
 - Maintains shipping production based on route shipping schedules and expectations
 - Maintains Shipping Error Log (Under the Quality Management System), then notify appropriate supervisor
 - During the shipping process, verifies the appropriate product allocation and troubleshoot any allocation issues
 - Operate the picker & fork lift
 - Maintains clean workstations (including neat and organized) based off our Quality Standards
-  Follows OSHA standards and product safety, following FOD
 - Reports any safety issues immediately to management if needing assistance
 - Assists in other functions of the Warehouse as necessary
 - Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSCs vision and unity of purpose.
 - Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:

 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Tower Fasteners shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures and product.
    Handles difficult situations; Responds promptly and appropriately to requests for service and assistance.
  • Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.
  • Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests.
     To perform this job successfully, an individual should be PC literate with a good working knowledge of Windows and P21 Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Compensation starting at $19-20/ hour dependent on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity.  The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
