BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Functional Analyst, Salesforce Marketing Cloud is the platform subject matter expert (SME) responsible for translating marketing and CRM business needs into scalable, high-performing Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) solutions. This role bridges Marketing, Sales, IT, and Analytics to design and optimize customer journeys, data processes, and platform capabilities that drive B2B engagement, personalization, and revenue growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the SFMC SME, managing day-to-day platform operations including automations, data integrations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and overall platform health
- Partner with Marketing, CRM, and IT teams to gather requirements, define use cases, and deliver scalable SFMC solutions aligned to business goals
- Design and implement customer journeys, automations, segmentation, and data models using core SFMC tools (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder)
- Build and optimize data-driven personalization using SQL, AMPscript, dynamic content, and SFMC data architecture best practices
- Maintain integrations between SFMC and external systems (e.g., ERP, Salesforce CRM, etc.), ensuring reliable data flow and scalable architecture
- Ensure data governance, compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR), and platform security standards are met
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively improve platform stability and campaign execution
- Create documentation, support UAT, and enable end users through training and best practices
- Evaluate new SFMC features and marketing technologies to continuously evolve platform capabilities
- Leverage Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) to build custom functionality, automate complex processes, and enable advanced personalization or integrations when standard SFMC tools are not sufficient
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent business experience
- 5+ years of experience in marketing automation, CRM, or digital marketing operations (B2B preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, segmentation, and experience with SQL, AMPscript, and APIs
- Understanding of SFMC + Salesforce CRM integrations and data architecture
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and campaign performance optimization skills
- Excellent communication and ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
- SFMC Certification required

Compensation starting at $75,600 - $118,800 depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
