BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
At MSC, we are growing our Analytics team and investing in forward-thinking BI and Data Analytics solutions. As we build out the team, we are looking for a smart and innovative leader who is self-sufficient and thrives in ambiguity, has experience in Analytics, and can drive results across MSC bridging business and technical areas. The Reporting Analytics Partner will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. Work closely with business to help define business requirements and recommend alternatives to assist in presenting the best options for users. This is an agile environment which requires the role to be flexible, self-driven and collaborative.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide guidance, training, and professional development for Cross Functional team members as required.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging the use of best practices and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytical needs.
- Present findings and insights to senior leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain robust reporting frameworks and dashboards to track sales metrics, performance & data quality.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis.
- Perform UAT with our internal Data Engineering Team
- Strategic Planning
- Collaborate cross functionally with Sales, Finance, Business Units, and other Enterprise teams to align strategies with business objectives.
- Data Management
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of sales reporting data used for Sales and Product Management Leadership as well as other Enterprise Functions.
- Oversee the collection, storage, and retrieval of data from various sources, ensuring compliance with data governance policies.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the reporting, analytics & data governance function.
- Implement best practices for data analysis, reporting, and visualization to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify gaps in current processes and weakness that could undermine the efficiency & effectiveness of business strategy or opportunities for improvement
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in reporting and analytics, with at least one year of experience leading projects or owning analytical deliverables in a professional environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, Alteryx).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related advanced degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in sales operations, product management analytics or a related field is highly desirable.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and territory management software is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 20% of the time may be required.
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
Compensation starting at $72,100 - $113,300 depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
