BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY
The Launch Program, Supply Chain Associate, is responsible for working within MSC's Supply Chain Support, Engineering, and Logistics functions to perform a wide range of tasks to deliver superior customer experience to MSC customers. This position will be a rotational assignment to help develop skills and gain exposure across each of these functions. This associate will apply knowledge acquired in college, as well as gain the skills and experience necessary to prepare the associate for a more diverse career at MSC.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively work with associates and management at various locations to perform some or all of the following:
- Plan, execute, and complete projects as assigned.
- Provide business assistance to various groups within the Supply Chain Support, Engineering, and Logistics departments.
- Collaborate with Business, Operations, and IT team associates to develop presentations.
- Design and execute analyses with summary reports for management consumption to guide decisions and drive profitability.
- Assist with tracking and reporting.
- Perform independent research.
- Perform other responsibilities within the areas of Supply Chain operations as part of the rotational assignment.
- Embody the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
- A Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university required.
- Excellent academic record (minimum 3.5 GPA)
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Highly organized, exhibit high level of initiative and strong problem-solving ability required.
- Strong work ethic.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software are required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
- Excellent time management skills required.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Internships in related field preferred.
- Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills are preferred.
Other Requirements
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Position requires up to 10% of travel
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)
Compensation starting at $68,000 depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
