BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY
The Launch Program, Finance Associate is responsible for a wide range of various important duties. This position will be part of our rotational Launch Program. Assignments will include working with our, FP&A and other Finance functions. The associate will be able to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as gain the skills and experience that are necessary to prepare the graduate for a successful career at MSC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively work with associates and management at various locations to perform some or all the following:
• Support Business Unit Finance with pricing and various analysis
• Design and execute analyses with summary reports for management consumption to guide decisions and drive profitability.
• Analyze financial statements for innovative and improvement opportunities.
• Complete budget and forecast solicitation and analysis, owning certain areas of the company.
• Conducts business and financial analysis to identify strategic performance opportunities.
• Performs measurement of investment benefits relative to financial commitments.
• Collaborate with finance team associates to develop presentations including financial plans, company projects and initiatives.
• Provide business assistance to various groups within the Finance group where requested.
• Prepares account reconciliations.
• Post journal entries as requested.
• Plan, execute, and complete special projects as assigned.
• Embody & foster the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
• A bachelor's or master's Degree in a business or HR-related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent academic record (minimum 3.5 GPA)
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Highly organized, exhibit high level of initiative and strong problem-solving ability required.
• Strong work ethic.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software is required.
• Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also required.

Other Requirements:
• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Position requires up to 10% of travel

 

Compensation starting at $62k depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
