BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Management and Implementation Specialist (IMIS) is responsible for successfully implementing and managing various inventory management solutions offered by MSC, promoting a best-in-class experience for all stakeholders. This includes driving solutions, installations, data collection, vending machine diagnostics, maintenance, training, and managing inventory at customer sites. This position is expected to enhance sales growth through solutions with a focus on speed to revenue and customer retention.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborates with MSC Sales Teams and Inventory Management Consultants to drive explosive sales growth and successfully implement solutions.

Proficient in solutions discovery, recommendations, installations, onsite service, post-install support, supply chain optimization, fiscal responsibility, cancellation support, and customer training.

Maintains thorough knowledge of MSC solutions, including bar coded solutions (CMI, VMI), vending, and crib software.

Follows customer relationship management software protocols for project and time management.

Provides feedback for continuous process improvement and represents MSC Solutions at branch meetings.

Ensures appropriate stock levels, unpacks, receives, and puts away products to maintain inventory levels.

Drives product expansion through spot buys and incremental solution growth.

Repairs and maintains solution equipment, utilizes routing software, and logs daily account activities.

Maintains relationships with customer contacts, communicates professionally, and drives MSC customer loyalty.

Supports and collaborates with MSC customer solutions and sales associates through the CARE program (Clean, Arrange, Relationships, Exceeded Expectations).

Maintains 6S appearance of solution areas and adheres to safety compliance.

Stays updated on MSC’s inventory management solutions through continuous improvement and training.

Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings and daily timekeeping using MSC-approved applications.

Safely operates and maintains company-assigned vehicle according to the MSC Fleet Policy.

Follows all MSC policies and procedures and participates in special projects and additional duties as required.

Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:

An associate’s degree or the equivalent relevant experience is required.

Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Organizational & time management skills required.

Excellent Electro/Mechanical skills required.

Critical thinking, problem solving, and situational adaptability skills required.

Computer literacy & proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet & presentation software required.

Proficient in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Must possess basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
Bonus Points If You Have:

Minimum two (2) years supporting value-added customer solutions / inventory management programs is preferred.

Knowledge of Industrial Distribution, MRO, and/or Metalworking product lines/services is preferred.
-
Minimum of two (2) years of technical experience is preferred.
-
Inventory Management or Customer Service experience preferred.
-
Relevant Military experience preferred.
-
Proficiency in mobile business applications preferred.
-
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude preferred.
Other Requirements:

A valid driver’s license may be required.

Position requires up to 70% of travel, including overnight travel required.

Able to perform physical activities such as lifting approximately 50 lbs.

Ability to work in various types of industrial environments.

Must adhere to customer specific requirements such as wearing hardhats, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, etc.

This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (ITAR) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

Demonstrated bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms. Skilled in cross-cultural communication, enabling seamless interaction with various clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. Proven ability to translate and interpret, ensuring accurate and clear communication in business or professional settings.
Compensation starting at $40,000 - $50,000 depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
