BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The internship program is a rewarding and challenging development program for talented, high performing students. Interns are assigned to a functional area for a 10-week assignment. Each assignment will offer the opportunity for the students to work on defined projects, develop leadership skills and interact with associates across all levels of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, execute, and complete special projects as assigned.
• Gains industry knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.
• Develops skills needed for career in industrial distribution.
• Supports assigned manager with business project work.
• Presents intern project results to business leaders.
• Perform independent research.
• Manage and maintain vendor relationships.
• Provide business assistance to various groups within the Customer Care (WFM, Operations, Quality Assurance, Digital Performance Analytics departments.
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Workforce Management, Quality Assurance, Digital Performance Analytics, and Customer Experience teams.
• Assist in compiling and validating data sets used for performance reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in shadowing sessions with agents and supervisors to understand real-time workflow challenges and operational behaviors.
• Support the creation of process maps, diagrams, and training materials to document recommended improvements.
• Learns & fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need
:
• High School diploma required.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Excellent academic record.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office software required.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills required.
• Positive, high-energy approach to assignments and a willingness to learn quickly required.

Bonus Points If You Have:
• Area of study in Business Analytics, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration preferred.

Other Requirements:
• A valid driver's license may be required.
• This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)

 

Compensation starting at $22/hr depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
