JOB DESCRIPTION:
BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The CNC Installer, Machine Access is responsible for the set up and adjustment of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, operate, and maintain mills, lathes, grinders, and routers.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Loads, unloads, moves skidded product.
Operates basic warehouse vehicles (i.e., forklift and/or walkie).
Utilizes telephone to process information with internal/external contacts.
Handles and uses cleaning materials including products with chemicals.
Perform visual dimensional and functional inspections on machines, parts and assemblies.
Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other precision measuring equipment.
CNC Installation of ball screws, DC motors, linear scales, and housing.
Monitor machining processes and makes adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Retrieves information utilizing the AS/400 computer system.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Troubleshoot machining problems and perform minor repairs or maintenance as needed.
In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily reassigned to other warehouse functions.
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC?s vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need
High school diploma or the equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
Minimum of three years of machining/technical experience required.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Requirements:
A valid drivers license may be required.
This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (ITAR) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (?CUI?)
