BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development Executive at AIS will work with the MSC sales team to drive new sales of production fasteners and components to their existing customer base through value added service selling. A successful individual in this role will show a balance of technical fastener knowledge and the ability to build profitable customer programs.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be Customer Focused, Say-Do, Passionate Team Player, Get to Yes, Curious & Open Minded
  • Build productive relationships with the MSC regional sales leadership to drive engagement with customers
  • Work closely with program managers and sourcing to provide accurate customer quotes
  • Collaborate with the Customer Solutions and Supply Chain teams to design customer specific fulfillment plans including VMI programs, kitting, or purchase part programs.
  • Accurately manage pipeline consistently in the AIS CRM.
  • Develop and communicate newly signed account agreements to support implementation and ensure rapid, complete penetration and revenue growth of those agreements.
  • Attention to detail and project management skills
  • Work with field and customer support leadership to meet customer needs, drive compliance to forecasted sales thresholds and clearly communicate and document customer service level expectations, addressing shortfalls as needed.
  • Fosters the MSC/AIS Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Area of study in business administration, engineering or sales preferred.
  • Minimum five years in production fastener distribution experience required.
  • Technically proficient in fastener types, functionality, and nomenclature required.

SKILLS:

  • Must possess business acumen and technical capacity, and be results driven with customer focus
  • Experience or understanding of OEM Fasteners, production tools, and MRO supplies.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite
  • Experience managing a team in a service based, technical sale environment

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel is required.
  • Ability to travel up 50 % to visit customer/clients in specified territories.

Compensation starting at $106,400 - $122,605 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
