BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and systems to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops the following:
  • tool quoting processes, including customer relations
  • new cutting tool designs from customer inputs
  • best shop routing methods
  • print definitions & interpretations
  • tool print records & filing process
  • tool programming & processes
  • Train others as needed
  • Interact with customers, the quality department, & sales staff to help resolve issues
  • Interact daily with production and quality employees.
  • Report & communicates to the upper management team
  • Works with the engineering team members to identify and complete process and quality improvement projects, using Lean, methodologies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure continuous and safe operation of critical equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing capabilities and reduce lead times
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving for production challenges
  • Work within cross-functional teams to align manufacturing objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to assembly, integration, and testing.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensures that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
  • Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions and communicates results to team.
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

What You Need:

  • Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent of two years' work experience in this type of environment required.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Two years of work experience in an engineering / tool manufacturing environment
  • Solidworks experience (preferred)
  • AutoCAD experience (preferred)
  • ANCA Toolroom software experience (preferred)

Other Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Position requires up to 10% of travel
  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)

Compensation starting at $56250 - $88440 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
