BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Sales oversees the inside and outside sales teams within their region. This position leads the sales team to increase our wallet share and profitability while sustaining mature partnerships with our current customers.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for delivering revenue and gross profit targets for assigned region.
  • Develops, trains & mentors the team on sales processes and assure that internal processes are followed and documented by the entire team.
  • Pipeline management includes CRM entries to optimize opportunities and provide leadership as needed.
  • Assignment of account packages.
  • Ensures alignment of Inside and outside sales and support teams through collaboration and communication to deliver best in class service to OEM customers.
  • Ensures maximum market growth through creating a high growth environment.
  • Collaborates with SVP of Sales on identifying new opportunities, challenges, and change management processes of all OEM projects and initiatives.
  • Proactively identifies customer needs and drives team to selling appropriate solutions.
  • Assists and participates in the review process with top accounts.
  • Researches current market conditions to identify high growth opportunities.
  • Renews expiring contracts with existing customers to ensure there is no gap in service or coverage.
  • Responsible to communicate the Marketing Strategy, Quarterly and Annual Goals per the OEM Business Unit
  • Utilizing resources effectively, setting performance metrics, monitoring progress, and adjusting as needed.
  • Responsible for providing sales forecasts for budgeting purposes.
  • Collaborates and participates in Senior Leaderships to carry out strategic initiatives.
  • Participation in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (in business preferred) or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience with business-to-business sales experience with customized or engineered products required.
  • Minimum of five years managing and supervising a sales team required.
  • Industrial Distribution experience required; OEM preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in utilizing various sales techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of managing a sales pipeline and sales cycles
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated and driven professional.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Understanding of OEM fasteners, production tools, and MRO supplies.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% to visit customer/clients in specified territories.

Compensation starting at $111,650 - $175,450 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
