BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Admin works to ensure the smooth processing of projects as they are received so they can be returned to the requestor and/or customer in a timely manner. This includes timely updates between CDS, National Account Group and Sales. Assists with escalation process to prioritize urgent requests. Maintaining and updating all DSR’s and List Log’s as each project is moved through every step of the process. Moves projects through the Cross Reference and Quality Assurance groups and returns projects once all required teams have completed their respective tasks. Additionally, work will be conducted within Excel, List Manager, and CIML.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares and organizes customer files (Microsoft Excel, PDF files, and emails) to be placed into the List Manager/CIML upload template.

Prepares customer files to be returned to the Sales Team with appropriate Cross Reference information.

Communicates status of requests between the Sales Department and the Cross-Reference team.

Organizes Cross Reference requests for the team based on timelines provided by Sales to meet the customers’ expectation.

Maintains project request DSR’s in Salesforce and updates the project log reporting software for current and past requests.

Develops and maintains department reporting as requested.

Project review to ensure project owner has supplied adequate information.

Complete tasks based on timelines mutually agreed upon by the requestor and the RFQ team to meet customer expectations.

Remains up to date with all cross-reference functions to provide additional resources and cross lines with the Cross Reference Team when required.

Reviews projects prior to return for abnormalities.

Queues up projects for Quality Analysis.

Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
-
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
-
Minimum of four years administrative experience is required.

Minimum of two years industry experience is preferred.

Minimum of one-year Cross Reference and Sourcing preferred.
SKILLS:
-
Strong proficiency in Windows PC as well as the Internet is required.

Proficient Excel skills necessary to manipulate data for uploading and downloading functions preferred (V- lookup, text to columns, formulas, concatenate, sort, filter).

Proficiency in the AS/400 sales related functions required.

Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Familiarity with a variety of industrial products is preferred.

Strong time management and organizational skills required.

This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
