BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The ApTex Customer Service role involves handling customer interactions through inbound calls and emails, processing orders, troubleshooting issues, and making product recommendations with a focus on increasing sales through upselling.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers inbound sales and service customer calls and emails to process orders, troubleshoot issues, make product recommendations, provide general support with a focus on increasing sales through upselling.
- Effectively manage customer interactions including inbound calls and email communications.
- This position utilizes ERP, MS Excel and MS Word daily.
- Vendor Returns and Pricing updates. Performing new item set up and maintenance.
- Assuring inventory levels are met and orders are filled by expediting with vendors and purchasing.
- Generate invoices on schedule, using both automated and manual formats.
- Communicate with colleagues, suppliers and customers via phone and email.
- Practice integrity and professionalism in all aspects of business with colleagues, vendors and customers.
- Special Projects or other duties as necessary.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS What You Need: - High School diploma or the equivalent required. - Above average data entry, computer skills. - Ability to multi-task and great attention to detail. - Above average communication skills, both written and verbal. - Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgement as well as ability to discern when to escalate issues.
- Strong client-service and continuous improvement mindset. - Self-starter; self-motivated; operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. - Demonstrated good planning skills and time management skills.
Bonus Points If You Have: - Product knowledge; Cutting Tools, Safety, Abrasives, MRO a plus. Other Requirements: - A valid driver's license may be required. - This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (?ITAR?) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

Compensation starting at $19hr - $23hr depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
