BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinator, Supplier Enablement supports the development and operation of MSC's Joint Business Planning (JBP) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) processes within the MRO BU. The role builds and maintains process infrastructure, coordinates reporting and meeting inputs, and supports assigned active JBP and QBR work while collaborating through the Supplier Enablement team. The role will research, recommends, documents, and tests workflow improvements, including automation, generative AI, and AI-agent solutions, under the direction of Supplier Program Enablement leadership.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains JBP and QBR trackers, templates, process documentation, action records, and supporting SharePoint content.
- Supports assigned active JBP and QBR activities across the supplier portfolio under the direction of the Supplier Enablement team.
- Participates in supplier meetings, JBP kickoff sessions, cross-functional input sessions, and QBR preparation activities as a supporting team member.
- Assists with the preparation and organization of supplier fact bases, growth-template inputs, initiative updates, risks, owners, timing, and follow-up actions.
- Prepares meeting materials, agendas, notes, follow-up documentation, and action tracking for assigned JBP and QBR work.
- Coordinates with Business Intelligence and other partners to support Power BI reporting inputs, data readiness, and access to performance information; does not own dashboard development.
- Documents and tests JBP and QBR processes designed by Supplier Program Enablement leadership and the broader team.
- Research, recommends, helps design, and tests process improvements involving workflow automation, generative AI, and AI agents.
- Supports the organization of cross-functional inputs from Category, Sales, Sales Enablement, Marketing, Finance, Business Intelligence, Customer Analytics, Merchandising, and other partners assigned.
- Conducts independent research and prepares clear summaries, working files, and recommendations to support process and supplier-planning decisions.
- Maintains accurate, organized, and timely records while handling company and supplier information appropriately.
- Works through the Supplier Enablement team for supplier communication and does not independently present JBP or QBR content or own final supplier strategy, outcomes, or budget decisions.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
- High School diploma or the equivalent required.
- Actively enrolled at an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, analytics, marketing, supply chain, information systems, or related field.
- Previous internship or comparable work experience.
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint, generative AI tools, and AI agents.
- Ability to work a remote schedule of 15 to 20 hours per week while actively enrolled.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or business-reporting tools.
- Experience documenting processes, coordinating projects, or maintaining workflow trackers.
- Familiarity with workflow automation or process improvement methods.
- Strong written communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
- Interest in supplier enablement, industrial distribution, analytics, or commercial operations.
Other Requirements:
- This is a remote, part-time position scheduled for 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Minimal travel may be required.
- The role does not include people-management responsibility, independent supplier ownership, final accountability for supplier strategy or outcomes, marketing asset production, brand governance, Power BI dashboard ownership, or independent budget approval.
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)
Compensation starting at $15.24 - $23.96 per hour depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
