JOB TITLE: Bagger
BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for packaging and labeling raw bulk product into finished goods according to established operating procedures. Packaging responsibilities will primarily be in Poly1, Poly2, and Poly3 workstations.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify quality of raw bulk product received from vendors.
- Individually count or weigh count product into bags.
- Count individual pcs into a bagger machine and verify that the label information is correctly printed.
- Count individual finished good units to be shipped out to customer facing DCs.
- Operator will be required to occasionally dump stock into hoppers in order to achieve daily production.
- Maintain work area with a surplus of totes, reflectors, boxes, and tote liners.
- Communicate with team lead regarding shortages or overages of material.
- Actively participate in LEAN and process improvement activities.
- Supports the Safety Culture by following established SOP?s.
- Engages in the local Safety Culture through safety team support and offering safety suggestions.
- Assists department supervisors in identifying risk to associates or the business and mitigate those risks.
- Actively participate in general housekeeping activities.
- Assist with periodic inventory activities.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSCs mission.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred, not required
- Some experience preferred in distribution management, preferably in a packaging environment
SKILLS:
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be able to maintain production standards for 2 weeks on all poly bag workstations.
- Neat and legible handwriting.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals with or without hand-held calculators.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds (US) and push a wheeled cart weighing up to 150 pounds (US) on a regular basis. WHY MSC?
