BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver Exclusive Brand (EB) marketing and commercialization programs with accountability for tracking ROI metrics and the annual budget to execute on programs for MSC's private label product portfolio in Metalworking. There are 8 brands within MSC's Exclusive Brand portfolio that span the industrial distributor categories of Metalworking. This role involves end-to-end management of commercial launch activities to support existing and new product introductions for the EB portfolio in Metalworking. This role will work cross functionally to align EB programs into the overall MSC Go-To-Market workstreams through strategic planning, alignment, development, and execution of marketing and sales enablement tactics. This role supports a strategic MSC initiative to drive growth, profit, penetration, and customer preference for MSC's Exclusive Brand portfolio in Metalworking.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the marketing and merchandising strategies for MSC Metalworking Exclusive Brands.
  • Liaison with MSC's Marketing organization to incorporate Metalworking EB products for the launch of new innovative programs aligning with our Metalworking Business Unit strategies.
  • Develop brand activation plans inclusive of but not limited to product positioning, product claims, discount strategies, assortment planning, ultimately driving marketing and sales campaigns for commercial launch.
  • In alignment with Product Marketing Manager develops annual EB metalworking marketing plans within allotted budget for execution.
  • Organizes, implements, and maintains the tactical day-to-day product and brand activities needed to increase sales, traffic, customer satisfaction, and brand equity.
  • Identifies product and promotional opportunities to support the category strategy in cross-functional areas
  • Collaborate with EB Metalworking team on execution of SKU rationalization and removal of phase-outs from printed and digital touchpoints and identification of viable substitute items
  • Develop Training Material, Cross Reference Guides and applicable selling materials & tools for MSCs Commercial Sales team to improve brand penetration, customer stickiness, brand loyalty.
  • Support the formulating of field communication for new products.
  • Develop and support the creation and management of Sales Enablement digital and print assets
  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Marketing, Communications, or the equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum of three to five years of business experience required.
  • Experience with brand building and marketing planning is required.
  • External partnership and agency management experience is required.
  • Usage of an enterprise Product Information Platform and previous interaction is required.
  • MS Office proficiency required
  • Strong organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent presentation skills are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously are required.

 

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Previous experience navigating cloud-based software for program and asset management is preferred.

 

Other Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Position requires up to 25% of travel
  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)

Compensation starting at $63420 - $96986 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
