BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Account Manager to join our team in the rapidly growing field of Additive Manufacturing (AM). The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for customers and MSC sales, managing relationships, understanding their needs, and helping them leverage additive manufacturing technologies to drive innovation and business growth. This position combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service skills to ensure that clients receive the best solutions for their specific requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Understand clients' business objectives and technical requirements, offering tailored additive manufacturing solutions.
Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to grow existing accounts and acquire new clients in the additive manufacturing sector utilizing MSC's sales reps and customer base.
- Attend trade shows to promote the company's additive manufacturing solutions.
- Present and promote the company's additive manufacturing solutions, services, and products to potential customers and MSC's sales teams.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities and close deals.
Technical Expertise and Guidance:
- Provide clients and sales associates with expert advice and guidance on additive manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.
- Act as a liaison between clients and engineering teams to ensure all technical requirements are clearly understood and addressed.
Market and Industry Insights:
- Stay up to date with trends and innovations in additive manufacturing and identify opportunities to offer cutting-edge solutions to clients.
- Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and market demands.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor account performance and ensure client satisfaction through regular follow-ups and performance reviews.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, project statuses, and sales activities in CRM tools.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and KPIs to senior management.
- Responsible for profitability and growth initiatives consistent with MSC corporate goals.
Project Management and Coordination: (20% of the time)
- Oversee the execution of additive manufacturing projects from initial inquiry to delivery.
- Coordinate the preparation of quotes, proposals, and technical documentation in alignment with client specifications.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
- Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of three years of experience in account management, sales, or business development,
- Possess extensive knowledge of various additive technologies
- Expertise in broad spectrum of additive manufacturing techniques and systems
- Expertise in a broad spectrum of additive manufacturing materials and their properties
- Customer-service mindset
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Preferred account management experience within the additive manufacturing, industrial, or engineering sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Expertise in a diverse set of modern 3D printing technologies, best practices, and capabilities
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion for technology and innovation, particularly in the manufacturing and 3D printing space.
Other Requirements:
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Position requires up to 60% of travel
- This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).

Compensation starting at $58000 - $91080 depending on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
